Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you are rounding up all of the presents and to-do-stuff, getting comfy in your ugly sweaters, and baking MANY many cookies!!
Today I have one of the last posts of the year, a wonderful tag created by Hailey in Bookland that will help wrap up 2017!! The bookish superlatives are similar to those assigned at the end of the high school year to some of your fellow classmates. It’s super fun and interesting to find who fits each category best, so I hope you enjoy this.
If you’ve done the Bookish Superlatives or are planning to, feel free to leave a link down below so I can visit your post! These are all characters from books I read this year, but the books were not necessarily released in 2017.
The Mad Hatter from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
2-Most Likely to be President
Arsinoe from Three Dark Crowns
This book is all about an island where, every generation, a new set of triplets is born. Each Queen is separated and raised in the different cities depending on their powers, and when they turn 16, they’re supposed to fight and kill each other to determine the Crowned Queen.
These queens may not be the best leaders, nor have their morals quite on the check, but out of the three, I want and believe that Arsinoe the Naturalist will become the next Queen because she is smart and very clever, so I still think that in real life she would be a good President.
Kit and David from What To Say Next
I recently read this book and really loved it. I finished it feeling happy and positive. It’s about a girl who recently lost her dad in a car accident and an autistic guy. Both meet and become each other’s company. It’s really good, short, and I BLEW through it. Read my review HERE.
4-Biggest Drama Queen
Margot from The Miseducation Of Margot Sanchez
This might also have been due to the character’s age, because she was 15 instead of being a bit older, as opposed to other YA books I read which mostly feature older characters.
Margot was, like any teenager that age, very self-conscious about her appearance, social circles, make up, etc. But her preoccupations were sometimes too much for me, and I didn’t enjoy re-living that part of myself and that part of the environment I constantly interact with since I’m near that age-range as well. It’s not my jazz in real life and neither is it in books.
5-Most Likely to be Tumblr Famous
Taylor from Queens of Geek
Taylor actually has a wonderful, #relatable TUMBLR, and if she isn’t considered super famous yet, she sure will be.
Queens of Geek follows the experience of three friends who travel all the way from Australia to their first Convention in the States. It’s LGBTQ, has anxiety and autism rep, and it’s a gorgeous, really fun story. Taylor is amazing too. Read my review HERE.
6-Most Likely to Change the World
Diana from Wonder Woman: Warbringer
Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo is Diana’s origin story, and it tells about her life before becoming Wonder Woman. It was an amazing book, but as we all know, Wonder Woman changed the world.
So this might be cheating, but since Diana in this book isn’t WW yet and because I know that she will be in the future, I also know that she will change everything by inspiring and becoming one of the first female super-heroes everybody knows about! And therefore she is the character most likely to do so.
7-Most Likely to Have 12 Cats
Queen Levana from Fairest
This vain villain is BAD, creepy, and absolutely cruel. She will have no love and she will be forever alone. Her only company will have to be cats, no matter how much that may hurt her ego (no offense to cat-lovers). She will have no other option but to turn to animals for friendship.
Hermione from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
What else is new.
9-Most Likely to be a One Direction Fangirl
Lily from P.S. I Like You
Lily loves music, writing it, listening to it, and scribbling lyrics on class benches to exchange titles back and forth with a random, unknown person. That’s the cute premise of this amazing contemporary book, and one of my favorite Kasie West novels.
Lily has such a great repertoire and so much music knowledge, and she's also a fangirl for some bands. She’s the person most likely to love One Direction!
10-Most Likely to Binge-Watch All of the Seasons of a Show in 1 Day
Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Oh, Gosh. I watched the movie before reading the book this year (my life) and I’d always hated Violet THE MOST. She is super obsessive, annoying and a compulsive gum chewer champion. If she can obsess over that, imagine how she would obsess over a good T.V. Show. Lord save us and her spoiling abilities.
11-Most Likely to be in Slytherin
Lada from And I Darken
Joshua Templeman from The Hating Game
He was such a hatable idiot sometimes, but his flirting wins anyone over. Read my review HERE.
13-Most Likely to be a Booktuber
Dorian Haviliard from Throne of Glass
Dorian loves books, he definitely has the profile of a neat guy with a cool hobby such as Booktube, and we also need more male Booktubers, so I had to choose him for this superlative!
Monty and Percy from The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue
This friendship had its ups and downs, but overall, they warm my heart. This book is a historical fiction novel following several UNIQUE and fun characters through a Grand Tour through Europe. The plot was crazy and the humor was right up my alley. I loved this book so much as well as these two characters in it!
The Inner Circle of A Court of Wings and Ruin
I appreciate this squad so much. Thinking of them, their experiences, their courage, their fun exchanges and ENDLESS jokes makes my heart happy. This squad makes me smile, and if a group of people is able to do that, then they’re bound to be #Goals.
I really hope you enjoyed this post, guys! Tomorrow is the FINAL day of Blogmas! I have a very fun post prepared, so stay tuned. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everybody.
