Happy Saturday, everybody! My last week update was a while back because the first Saturday of every month I post my TBR poll for you to help me decide what I should read next instead of a roundup.
In all of this time, I went back to school, finished reading Of Mice and Men, sat for a French exam I did really well at and had quite a lot of fun. I recently read Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake and it was FANTASTIC.
Just to give you a heads up, it will be making my Top Ten books of the year list because it was THAT good. I already pre-ordered the sequel from Book Depository because I want to have to continue with the series ASAP and have all of the physical books. Only privileged books and upcoming releases I’m THRILLED about getting ordered from Book Depo, so that’s how you know I’m excited about it so much I need to have the physical book in my hands!
Shortlist of books pre-ordered from Book Depo in 2017:
◦ A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
◦ Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff
◦ ZENITH by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings
◦ One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
I lent 3 Dark Crowns to my school’s librarian because she really wanted to read it. She’s loving it so far too! In other news, I’d never heard of Anna Dressed in Blood, but literally, EVERYBODY has been talking about it and recommending it to me (including my school's librarian) because of the spooky season. It’ll be one of my next reads for sure!
Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff arrived this week!
As mentioned above, this was one of the books I pre-ordered from Book Depository because I was highly anticipating having the physical copy in my hands.
I’m saving it for the summer (in January where I live) because I have vivid memories of reading Nevernight during that season, and I want to recreate it. One of my favorite things to do when I start a series is to read each book in a similar environment and state of mind as the others. That’s why it takes me a while to complete old, already completed series. With on-going ones, I have no problem because they usually release at the same date every year.
I can’t wait to read this book!

Monthly TBR Poll Winner
As I said, last week you helped me vote for which book I should read next this month. The three books I optioned because I’ve been really wanting to read them all were: Now I Rise by Kristen White (16% of the votes), Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova (25% of the votes), and THE WINNER:
Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody (58% of the votes)! So this will be one of my next reads, and I’m SO EXCITED about it! Many of you really like Circus vibes and settings, so I’ll be making a review for this book when I finish reading it!
Re-Read:Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (as you know I’m re-reading the entire series before starting Tower of Dawn!). The Arabian Nights, which I’m really loving so far, especially because of the illustrations and how every story is inside another story, and They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera. I’ve read his other two books this year as well and he is one of my favorite authors. This book is amazing so far!

I also want to thank you all because the blog has 21 followers on Bloglovin' and it reached 171 visits in September! I’m super proud of this, especially because from one month to another it grew immensely, and also because 100 was my first goal. I went from nothing to all of this and where I stand now, being able to talk to so many people, connect with all of you, and share my thoughts with fellow readers who respond. It’s been the greatest time ever, so thank you for all of your support! I wish to continue to enjoy this journey, improve, and progress!
